Managing Your Kid's Behavioral Health

A free educational program exclusively for patients, families, and friends. The Department of Psychiatry invites you to attend the fall symposium Managing Your Kid’s Behavioral Health. Now in its 14th year, this exciting event will offer an update on new research findings and important clinical topics for parents with children that experience behavioral health issues.

In the morning, participants will learn about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and severe moodiness. The afternoon will feature presentations on disruptive disorders and co-occurring medical problems in children. The afternoon will also include presentations by parents and a series of interactive talks on parenting children with anxiety, eating disorders and personality disorders.

Each presentation will be twenty minutes, concluding with faculty panels to respond to queries from participants.  Tables of faculty experts will be available during lunch to facilitate discussion and further answer questions in specific areas that impact children’s behavioral health.
