Each year, Mass General honors Patient Safety Stars as part of its Patient Safety Awareness Week celebration.

U.S. News and World Report ranks Mass General among the top hospitals in the nation. We are the only hospital in America to be recognized across all 16 specialties assessed by this annual report.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rated Mass General 5/5 stars for hospital quality. The ratings compare hospital performance on approximately 60 quality and patient safety metrics to the national average and create an overall score.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center awarded Mass General the highest honor available for nursing excellence, making Mass General the first hospital in Massachusetts to achieve Magnet status.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation recognized Mass General for its commitment to delivering equitable and inclusive care to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) patients and their families.
