Born in India, grown up in New Zealand, Revati received her M.S. degree in Medical Science from the University of Auckland and moved to the United States in 2009. For her Masters thesis she worked on a sheep animal model of intra-uterine growth retardation and the development of a potential treatment for it using IGF-1. She worked at the University of Miami’s Leonard Miller School of Medicine prior to taking up her job as a Research Associate in the Ramaswamy lab. Here she studies the mechanisms regulating cancer cell quiescence and asymmetric cancer cell division.
