Find information on residency, fellowship and continuing medical education opportunities available through the Massachusetts General Hospital Division of Thoracic Surgery.
The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Surgery offers one-month-long advanced clerkships in general surgery and its subspecialties (cardiothoracic, general surgery, pediatric surgery, transplantation, trauma surgery, and vascular surgery). Participants will be assigned to a surgical team and mentor. This in-depth rotation is intended for students interested in pursuing a career in surgery and have completed their core clerkship in surgery.
The goal of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital is to produce residents who are versed in all the contemporary aspects of both cardiac and thoracic surgery at the time of completion. We also intend to be certain that they are equipped with training and experience to commence practice in either or both fields.
Massachusetts General Hospital’s Surgical Residency Program offers extensive clinical training and research opportunities.
