Living drugs that reprogram patients’ immune cells show early promise against hard-to-treat brain tumors

Last summer, Tom Fraser, 72, signed up for a pilot study at Mass General Cancer Center to treat his glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer. This new CAR-T therapy successfully shrank his tumor and gave him new hope.
