About Lauren Murray Bear, MS, LCGC

Ms. Bear joined the Center for Cancer Risk Assessment in 2014. She graduated from Trinity College in 2008 with a bachelor of science in biology, and worked for several years in research laboratories at Tufts Medical Center and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In 2014, she earned her master’s degree through the Genetic Counseling Program at Brandeis University. As part of the CCRA, Ms. Bear provides risk assessment and genetic counseling services in both the Breast/Ovarian and GI Cancer Genetics clinics, with a specialty in the von Hippel-Lindau and Familial Renal Cell Cancer clinic. Her research interests include familial myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
