Kevin Schwartz, MD, is a Pediatric Hospitalist and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician. Dr. Schwartz’s research interests include capacity-building in pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric oncology care in sub-Saharan Africa. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications on innovative training curricula in low-income countries and pediatric oncology emergencies.  His current research focuses on capacity building in pediatric oncology in low and middle income countries and the use of Virtual Reality to reduce pain in pediatric patients.

Dr. Schwartz's research interests are in capacity-building in pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric oncology care in low-income countries, particularly sub-Saharan Africa.  He has a number of peer reviewed publications regarding innovative training curricula for providers in low-income country settings and his current research is focused on the improvement of supportive care for pediatric oncology patients.
