As of March 2019, Pediatric Cardiology at Mass General for Children (MGfC) welcomed four new providers to the team. In doing so, care services have been expanded from the main campus in Boston to MassGeneral for Children at Fitchburg and MassGeneral for Children at the Spaulding Center for Children in Sandwich. Services will also expand to Foxborough upon renovations of MGfC’s space at the Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center.

The providers include Lars Erickson, MD, Phyllis Pollack, MD, Lorraine Schratz, MD, and M. Victoria Tantengco, MD.

“We are so excited to welcome these providers to Pediatric Cardiology and to expand our services to patients and families who need them,” said Oscar Benavidez, MD, MPP, chief of Pediatric Cardiology at MGfC. “This was a wonderful expansion of skills as well because three out of four new providers can do fetal [echocardiograms], especially on Cape Cod where this services previously was not available.”

For patients diagnosed with congenital heart disease, the additional providers also ensure a smooth continuity of care from pediatric to adult medicine and the opportunity for a lifelong partnership with patients and families.

In addition to the four providers, MGfC has also welcomed seven other pediatric cardiology professionals, including sonographers Heather Luce and Julie Dufour; licensed vocational nurses and patient service coordinators Mary Ann Reed-Cook, LPN, and Tara Brock, LPN; patient service coordinator Rosemarie Boyd; administrative coordinator Nicole Cross; and nurse practitioner Nancy Hagberg, NP.
