World-Class Dermatologic Care for North Shore Communities

The dermatology program at the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care consists of specialty trained dermatologists (skin doctors) who are experts in the treatment and diagnosis of both common and difficult conditions of the skin, hair, and nails. Our Harvard appointed board-certified dermatologists offer all of our patients a high level of individualized care from infancy to adulthood.

Pediatric Dermatology:
We specialize in caring for pediatric patients of all ages, from infancy to adolescence with skin disorders. We have expertise to treat common skin conditions such as acne, warts, rashes, eczema, and psoriasis, to those conditions that are unusual or rare. Our doctors are dedicated to helping children and parents better understand skin problems and how to treat or cope with them.
Dr. Anna C. Garza-Mayers, MD, PhD is a fellowship trained pediatric dermatology and has clinical interests in vitiligo, skin pigmentation, vascular birthmarks, acne, and the full spectrum of pediatric dermatology
Difficult or Complex Skin Disorders:
Our specialists have extensive experience treating a variety of skin conditions which enables them to treat difficult skin conditions beyond those normally seen by many dermatologists. For patients who develop many skin cancers, we can not only look for new cancers, but see if we can help you prevent new skin cancers. We work side by side with cancer doctors and surgeons for patients with melanomas and other serious skin cancers. We help patients with rashes such as severe, widespread eczema and psoriasis, skin allergies, and autoimmune skin conditions (lupus, bullous pemphigoid), inherited skin conditions (epidermolysis bullosa, ichthyosis).

We diagnose and treat hundreds of skin disorders, including but not limited to:
  • Acne
  • Blistering Disorders
  • Eczema
  • Rosacea
  • Pigmentation disorders
  • Psoriasis
  • Rashes
  • Seborrhea (dandruff)
  • Skin Cancers
  • Viral, bacterial or fungal infections
  • Warts
