About Ilona Goldfarb, MD, MPH

Since starting my Obstetrical practice in 2006, I have been honored to take care of many patients through multiple pregnancies and I cherish this continuity with families.

I completed my Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship in 2015 and was thrilled to join the faculty at the Massachusetts General Hospital. As a high-risk obstetrician, my clinical areas of interest include hypertensive disorder of pregnancy, vaginal birth after cesarean, multiple gestations, and preterm birth prevention. My research and public health work is in the area of postpartum hypertension as well as perinatal infectious disease and pandemic management.

I serve as Vice Chair for Quality, Equity and Safety for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Additionally, as a member of the larger Mass General and Mass General Brigham community, I am a course director for the Mass General Brigham Clinical Process Improvement and Leadership Course.
