The Emergency Medicine Network (EMNet) involves 246 medical centers and three programs. Large administrative dataset analyses contribute to all three programs.

  1. Multicenter Airway Research Collaboration (MARC) is an international research network focusing on respiratory/allergy emergencies such as asthma, COPD, anaphylaxis, bronchiolitis and other similar disorders.
  2. Health Services Research (HSR) focuses on access to emergency care, quality of emergency care, and patient outcomes. This includes the National ED Inventories (NEDI) along with patient safety and workforce studies.
  3. Public Health includes diverse topics, but focuses on health-related social needs and mental health emergencies such as the ED Safety Assessment & Follow-up Evaluation (ED-SAFE) and large surveys.

All EMNet programs are based at the EMNet Coordinating Center (ECC) at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
