About Samantha Harrington, MD, MSC

Dr. Harrington is a dual board-certified diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine physician with advanced training in pediatric imaging. She coordinates nuclear imaging of ER + breast cancer at MGH, specifically FES (18F-Fluorestradiol) PET at MGH. Additionally, she has an interest in pediatric oncologic imaging.

 

Dr. Harrington is also a member of the Theranostics team at MGH, offering Radium223 (Xofigo), Lutetium Dotatate (Lutathera), and Lutetium PSMA (Pluvicto) therapies for patients in New England.

 

Her training includes a transitional residency at Cambridge Health Alliance, a Diagnostic Radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital with subspecialized training in Nuclear Medicine, followed by a Pediatric Radiology Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and American Board of Nuclear Medicine and received an MSc from University of Oxford in medical anthropology.

 

Dr. Harrington serves as an Associate Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency with a particular interest in resident wellness and leadership training. Having served as a chief resident at MGH, she leads the Management and Leadership Track for radiology residents and serves as an Associate Program Director of the Nuclear Radiology Fellowship at MGH.
