U.S. News & World Report released its Best Hospitals rankings for 2022-2023 today, and Massachusetts General Hospital has again earned a spot on the Honor Roll, ranking #8 in the nation. It also is the #1 hospital in New England.

Of the nearly 5,000 hospitals evaluated, Mass General has consistently placed among the top hospitals on the Honor Roll since its inception in 1990.

Several other Mass General Brigham hospitals were also honored by U.S. News & World Report. Brigham and Women’s Hospital once again earned a spot on the Honor Roll among the top hospitals in the country. Three Mass General Brigham specialty hospitals – McLean Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation, and Mass Eye and Ear – were recognized for national excellence. McLean Hospital was ranked #1 in the nation in psychiatry. Spaulding Rehabilitation is #1 in rehabilitation in New England and ranked #3 in rehabilitation in the nation. Mass Eye and Ear is #1 for otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat care) and ophthalmology in New England and ranked #4 for both otolaryngology and ophthalmology in the nation.

Mass General Brigham is honored to have five nationally ranked hospitals.

The oldest and largest hospital in New England, Mass General conducts the largest hospital-based research program in the nation and is designated a Magnet® hospital, the highest honor for nursing excellence awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
