Primary Care Associates offers comprehensive primary care, chronic disease management and preventive care services.

Adult Primary Care/Internal Medicine

The internal medicine providers at Primary Care Associates (PCA) work with patients to coordinate all their health care needs, from routine physical exams to the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical problems and referrals to specialists. Our primary care providers also provide information about preventive medicine and wellness programs.

Laboratory

Blood work and other routine tests can be performed in our on-site laboratory.

Referrals

A primary care provider is responsible for arranging all medical care for his or her patient, including referrals to specialists. A patient requiring the care of a specialist should speak to his or her physician for the appropriate referral.

Prescription Refills

Our preferred method for submitting prescription refill requests is through Patient Gateway, our secure patient portal. Patients that do not have computer access may call the office. Requests are reviewed during office hours and are generally completed within 72 hours of review. Please plan ahead to ensure that your prescription is ready when you need it.

Nutrition

Our registered dietitian addresses the special nutrition needs of patients with diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, high cholesterol and other medical conditions.

On-call Provider Coverage

At PCA, a provider is always on-call for emergency health care questions after business hours and on weekends. Our patients may call the practice at 781-487-4040 to reach the on-call provider. Patients with life-threatening emergencies should call 911 or their local emergency response number.
