| Our critical care intensivists provide 24-hour burn care coverage and lead an experienced and compassionate staff that is skilled in critical care medicine and nursing. The outpatient Burn Clinic, located on the same floor of the hospital as the inpatient unit, allows us to provide burn treatment to adult burn patients along the entire continuum of care. |

| We employ the latest innovations in wound care healing techniques and utilize alternative as well as traditional burn treatments and therapies. Always on the cutting edge of new burn care developments, Massachusetts General Hospital pioneered early excision and grafting and, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, developed the dermal replacement Integra™ (artificial skin). |
