About Scott Silverman, MD
Dr. Silverman is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant Neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where he works on the stroke service. He is the Inaugural Incumbent of the Diana L. and Thomas F. Ryan Endowed Chair in Stroke Care and Education. He received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Bowdoin College in 1994. Dr. Silverman received his M.D. (2002) and completed his Neurology residency (2006) from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then did a fellowship in Vascular and Critical Care Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital (2007).
Dr. Silverman is board certified in Neurology, and Vascular Neurology. Dr. Silverman is the Clinical Director of the Stroke Service at MGH. He has a strong interest in medical education and is currently the Director of the Mass General Brigham Vascular Neurology Fellowship. Dr. Silverman's research and clinical interests are in ischemic stroke, specifically intracranial atherosclerotic disease and stroke in the young.

Great job.
He was excellent. He listened. He talked. He cared. He was, what's the word? I can't, I haven't spoken so I don't remember everything. He was very helpful. He was just excellent. That's all I can say. He was good in every way possible.
clear and straightforward
Dr. Silverman was great. He really came highly recommended. My only issue is that I was late being seen, which caused me to sit in more traffic back to NH. I do, however, understand that things like this are often beyond anyone's control.
He was attentive and provided good feedback to me. Would recommend him.

I don't think it's reasonable to ask a patient who has just had a stroke to wait 4 months for an appointment.
I thought the provider was very kind. He listened to my concerns and was empathetic. He went over my records. I only wish he had more to define what is actually going on with my arteries.
