Pervasive Developmental Disorders
Pervasive developmental disorders, also called autism spectrum disorders, most often can be identified in the early years of a child's life. Children with PDD have difficulty in areas of development or use of functional skills.
The Developmental NeuroPediatric Program at Mass General for Children was created to evaluate children between 18 months and 6 years of age suspected of having developmental delays.
The Learning Disorders Program at Mass General for Children addresses the needs of children (ages 5-19) with learning difficulties and differences who are not learning at the expected rate or who are under-achieving.
The Department of Speech, Language and Swallowing Disorders and Reading Disabilities at Mass General for Children diagnoses and treats children and adolescents with speech, language, reading and swallowing impairments and disorders.
