Sinus Lift

A sinus lift is used to move the sinus floor when there is not otherwise enough bone to anchor a dental implant.

About This Procedure

The sinus floor is very close to the roots of the upper back teeth.  When these teeth are lost and need replacement with dental implants, sometimes there is not enough bone in which to anchor an implant.  Sinus lifts are used to move the sinus floor in order to facilitate an increase in the volume of bone needed to anchor an implant.
