Using an academic multidisciplinary approach, the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Disaster Medicine aims to improve health system emergency preparedness, response and recovery by providing comprehensive emergency management consulting, planning, training, and exercise services, both in the United States and around the world.
Through a long history of response to emergency events and extensive involvement in community and regional planning, the Mass General CDM is uniquely poised to collaborate with hospitals of all sizes and patient populations, as well as members of all disciplines within the public health and healthcare sector to build capacity across the phases of the disaster cycle.
