About Meijuan Zhao, MD

Meijuan Zhao, MD is an assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. She received her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University School of Medicine in Shanghai, China and she completed a neurology residency in Beijing. She did a surgical internship at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston. She completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY and a fellowship in spinal cord injury at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Zhao has been providing PM & R outpatient consultations at MGH. In addition, she performs EMG/NCS studies at the neurology EMG lab at MGH. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Her special interests include diagnosis and non-operative management of upper extremity disorders, electrodiagnostic studies, general musculoskeletal medicine and sports medicine.
