About Bonnie Henderson, MD

Bonnie An Henderson is an widely-recognized expert in cataract and refractive surgery, specializing in complicated anterior segment surgery. Dr. Henderso's principal research involves cataract surgery outcomes and innovative methods of teaching, including the development of a digital-based method for teaching cataract surgery, supported by a Department of Defense TATRIC grant.

Dr. Henderson completed her ophthalmology residency at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. She graduated from Dartmouth College and from Dartmouth Medical School with high honors. She serves on the Board of Overseers at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, the Executive Board of the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, the Executive Board of Women In Ophthalmology, and has served on the Physician Board of Directors at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Locally, Dr. Henderson is the founder and president of the Women Ophthalmologists of New England (WONE). She has been quoted in the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, and Martha Stewar's Living Magazine; appeared on WLVi's Doctors on Call, CBs's Healthwatch, and Channel 5 WCVB-TV; and featured on WODS Radio 103.3.
