About Tom Hsu, MD

magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry.  He received his medical degree from the prestigious University of California, Davis School of Medicine.  After completing his Internal Medicine internship at the University of California, he went on to a residency in Ophthalmology at Tufts New England Eye Center.  Dr. Hsu did his Fellowship training at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and Tufts-New England Eye Center in Glaucoma with internationally recognized leaders in Glaucoma. He has experience in the use of advanced technology for evaluating glaucoma, treating patients with complex glaucoma, and surgical treatment of cataract complicated by glaucoma.

Dr. Hsu publishes regularly in Ocular Surgery News. He has conducted clinical research on the use of the ultra-high resolution OCT in structural analysis of the glaucomatous optic nerve.Dr. Hsu is a volunteer with the Lions Community Eye Screening program as part of his commitment to preventing blindness from glaucoma and other eye diseases.Dr. Hsu is a Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist and a Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He performs advanced glaucoma procedures, including valve placement trabeculoplasty, glaucoma laser procedures, and small-incision cataract surgery.
