About Todd Lancaster, MD, MPH

Dr. R. Todd Lancaster is a faculty member in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Lancaster completed both his residency in General Surgery and his fellowship in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at MGH.  Following this, he joined the clinical faculty at MGH and is appointed as an Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He is board certified in Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Lancaster's practice involves management of the full spectrum of vascular disease and he performs both open and endovascular (minimally invasive) arterial and venous surgery. His clinical interests include treatment of complex thoracic and abdominal aneurysms and dissections. Additional clinical interests include cerebrovascular disease, renovascular disease, mesenteric arterial disease, peripheral arterial disease, and venous disease. 

Dr. Lancaster has a particular interest in clinical research, focusing on patient safety and the clinical outcomes of open and endovascular surgery.  During his research training, he was awarded a T32 NRSA research fellowship for the study of clinical outcomes.  Dr. Lancaster holds an MD degree from Emory University School of Medicine, and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the Harvard University School of Public Health.
