Jennifer Tan, MD is a board-certified Dermatologist and Pediatric Dermatologist who graduated from the combined BA/MD program at Rutgers University and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Following medical school, Dr. Tan completed residency in the Harvard Combined Dermatology Program, where she served as Chief Resident before completing a fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Prior to joining MGH, Dr. Tan served as Director of Pediatric Dermatology and Community Outreach at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She also worked closely with Dr. Ernesto Gonzalez of MGH Dermatology to establish the Dermatology service at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program. For her community service efforts, she has received numerous awards from the American Academy of Dermatology and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Tan is thrilled to return to Boston as a joint staff member of the MGH Department of Dermatology and Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. Her career goals include increasing access to dermatologic care in underserved populations, particularly homeless men, women and children. She enjoys taking care of both pediatric and adult patients and practices in Boston and Charlestown. Professionally, Dr. Tan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology. She has been an invited guest lecturer and is the co-author of several medical publications.
