Research

Lab website: https://www.udlerlab.org/
Our research focuses on diabetes precision diagnostics and management. We interrogate genetic data across the spectrum from rare to common variation to identify novel diabetes genes, subtypes, and mechanisms of disease. Of particular interest is identifying molecular subtypes of type 2 diabetes in order to improve patient care. We are also involved in identifying and studying patients with atypical diabetes though the Rare and Atypical Diabetes Network (RADIANT) study. Our research is closely tied to clinical work, with Dr. Udler being the founding director of the MGH Diabetes Genetics Clinic.
