About Jonah Cohen, PhD

Jonah Cohen, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, and the Associate Director of the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders. He also serves as the Assistant Director of Psychology Training at MGH. Dr. Cohen received his Ph.D. from Temple University and completed his predoctoral internship at Columbia University Medical Center. He went on to complete his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. 

Dr. Cohen's clinical interests include evidence-based interventions and psychotherapy integration for various disorders. He has extensive experience in cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based, dialectical behavioral, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. He is the recipient of clinical awards from institutions such as the American Psychological Association , the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the Beck Institute, and the American Psychoanalytic Association.  Dr. Cohen's research is focused on understanding the predictors and mechanisms of treatments in an effort to improve their outcomes.

Research

Dr. Cohen's research is focused on understanding the predictors and mechanisms of treatments in an effort to improve their outcomes. He is also interested in developing and then empirically evaluating novel interventions in clinical areas such as consultation psychiatry and acute psychiatric settings.
