About Sarah Hammond, MD

Sarah Hammond, MD received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women?s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Transplant Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women?s Hospital both in Boston.Her clinical work is focused on the care of immunocompromised patients, particularly those with cancer. Her clinical research interests include the improvement of infectious diseases care for cancer and transplant patients and she has particular expertise in the prevention and management of hepatitis B reactivation in this patient population.
