About Nandini Venkateswaran, MD

I am a cataract, cornea and refractive surgeon at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary who is primarily seeing patients at the Lexington and Boston offices. Equipped with the highest-level of medical training from the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Duke University Eye Center, I strive to employ my clinical and surgical expertise to create a customized, detailed, and compassionate treatment approach for every patient, no matter how complex the condition.

I specialize in: complex cataract surgery, femtosecond laser-assisted refractive cataract surgery with premium lens technologies, cutting edge techniques in full and partial thickness corneal transplantation, laser and intraocular refractive surgery (SMILE, LASIK, PRK, ICL (implantable collamer lenses), corneal cross-linking for keratoconus and post-refractive ectasia, corneal dystrophies, dry eye disease, meibomian gland dysfunction, ocular surface tumors and lesions, anterior segment reconstruction, iris repair and secondary intraocular lens implantation and intraocular lens exchanges.

A skilled public speaker and writer, I thoroughly enjoy sharing my research and educating the ophthalmology community at national meetings and courses as well as through peer-reviewed original research manuscripts and book chapters in notable texts. My leadership positions in several national organizations have permitted me to partner with leaders in the field to improve the quality of ophthalmic care provided to patients.
