About Carl Turissini, MD

Carl Turissini, M.D. specializes in general and interventional cardiology. He graduated from Bucknell University and received his medical degree from University of Buffalo as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.  He joined the MGH interventional cardiology staff in 1996. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Echocardiology.

Dr. Turissini’s clinical practice is focused on general cardiology as well as invasive cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterization, coronary interventions, angioplasty and coronary stents. He has participated in numerous coronary interventional trials. He also has a special interest in the prevention and reversal of heart disease using a low fat, whole food, plant-based diet.
