About Kristen Hysell, MD

Kristen Hysell, MD, MPH is an Infectious Disease physician.  She is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital. During her training, she received the Edward Kass Award for Clinical Excellence from the Massachusetts Infectious Disease Society and she completed her Masters of Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health. 

She currently serves at the Research Director of the MGH Mycobacterial Center and received the Morton N. Swartz Transformative Scholar Award from the MGH Division of Infectious Diseases in 2022 to study clinical outcomes of non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections. She also serves as a course director at Harvard Medical School for HST 040, Mechanisms of Microbial Pathogenesis.
