About Andrew King, MD, PhD

Dr. King graduated from the University of Michigan where he studied Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry. He earned his medical degree (MD) and doctorate in molecular biology (PhD) at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine as a part of the Medical Scientist Training Program. He completed his dermatology residency training at Wayne State University, where he served as chief resident.

Dr. King's clinical interests span the breadth of cutaneous disease with a particular emphasis on skin cancer and melanoma. In addition to general dermatology clinic, he is also a postdoctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. David Fisher studying the biology of melanoma and developing more effective treatments.
