About Gregory Zahner, MD

Dr. Greg Zahner is an internal medicine physician and hospitalist at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and an Instructor in Medicine at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Zahner specializes in the care of hospitalized patients, particularly those with cancer, and has a clinical interest in infectious disease, symptom management, and end-of-life care.

A proud Midwesterner hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Zahner received an undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College and a Masters in Management from the University of Bath. He then graduated from UCSF School of Medicine where he received an MD with Distinction and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at MGH.

In addition to clinical care, Dr. Zahner has experience in clinical research and is working on projects that advocate for making healthcare more inclusive and accessible. He has a strong interest in health policy and management, with experience in management consulting for healthcare systems. His professional aspiration is to advance policies and practices that make quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for all.
