About Tiffany Glynn, PhD
Tiffany Glynn, PhD, is a clinical health psychologist in the Behavioral Medicine Program in the Department of Psychiatry at Mass General and in the Department of Psychiatry at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Glynn has a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and within the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Currently, she serves as the co-chair in the Office of Health Equity within the Center for IDEAS at Mass General Brigham.
Clinically, aside from broad mental health care, Dr. Glynn specializes in behavioral medicine (managing and adjusting to health/medical challenges; uptake of health behaviors) and in gender affirming psychological care. She also has expertise in treating trauma and substance use. Dr. Glynn serves as a clinical supervisor for both the MGH and BWH psychology training fellowships.
Dr. Glynn's research focuses on improving the health of people experiencing marginalization using community-informed approaches. She explores how biological processes, mental health, and environments interact to make it harder for people to get and engage in the care they need – and ways to develop new innovations and improve healthcare to address these issues in equitable, ethical, and real-world ways. Dr. Glynn has done a large amount of work in HIV and substance use.
Dr. Glynn has authored many successful grant proposals, scientific publications, book chapters, and frequently presents at national and international conferences. Her work has been cited over 1000 times and has been used to establish international, state, and local policy/standards of care for substance use, mental health, digital health technologies, HIV treatment, and gender affirmation.
Dr. Glynn received her doctorate at the University of Miami and a Master of Science at the Brown University School of Public Health. She completed both her predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships at Mass General Brigham/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Glynn also completed a fellowship in implementation science at the Center for AIDS Research at Johns Hopkins University.
When Dr. Glynn is not at Mass General Brigham, she enjoys traveling and watching documentaries.
