About Sigmund Kharasch, MD

Dr. Sig Kharasch is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. After completing his pediatric residency and fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Boston City Hospital, Dr. Kharasch was the director of the PEM Fellowship and Pediatric Emergency Department at Boston Medical Center/Boston University for 16 years. 

After joining MGH in 2012, Dr. Kharasch completed his Emergency Medicine Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Fellowship at MGH where he is currently Director of Pediatric Emergency Ultrasound. His work in this area is focused on teaching medical students, residents and POCUS fellows. He has authored several research articles in POCUS with an area of interest in lung and diaphragmatic POCUS research. 

Dr. Kharasch serves on the executive committee of the P2Network (https://p2network.com) where he is co-chair of conferences.
