About Alexander Presciutti, PhD
Dr. Presciutti is a clinical health psychologist at MGH CHOIR and Member of the Faculty at Harvard Medical School, where he also completed his predoctoral fellowship in Integrated Brain Health in 2023.
Dr. Presciutti's clinical and research specialty lies in improving psychosocial adjustment to critical illnesses, especially cardiac arrest and severe acute brain injury, for both patients and their family members. His research portfolio focuses on developing resilience programs for these populations, including as PI of an NCCIH K23 grant, Neurocritical Care Foundation grant, and NIA RCMAR pilot grant. In 2023 he was inducted into the Citizen CPR Foundation's "Top 40 Under 40" class, in recognition of his pioneering work in this space. He is also a member of the American Heart Association's 2025 Post Cardiac Arrest Care Guideline Writing Group and the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee.
In addition to his work in critical care, Dr. Presciutti also treats patients adjusting to other acute and chronic illness, co-morbid anxiety and depression, and ADHD.
