About Mary Linton Peters, MD

Mary Linton B Peters, MD MS, is a medical oncologist and co-clinical director of the Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology program at MGB Cancer Institute.  She is also an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and a Senior Scientist at the MGB Institute for Technology Assessment. Dr Peters specializes in the treatment of liver, bile duct, and pancreas cancers.  

Dr Peters' research focuses on cost-effectiveness, microsimulation modeling of the development of cancer, and genetic risk factors for pancreatic cancer. Her research has been supported by the National Cancer Institute with a K08 career development award, and she has mentored multiple residents and fellows with clinical and translational projects in GI cancer. She is a member of ASCO, ICRN (International Cholangiocarcinoma Research Network), and the Society for Medical Decision Making. She is a Fellow of the Society of Decision Professionals and the American College of Physicians.
