About Stephen Ostrowski, MD, PhD

Stephen Ostrowski, MD, PhD is an Instructor in Dermatology at Harvard Medical School and a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Ostrowski attended Northwestern University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in biology with honors. He then completed a dual MD/PhD degree at Case Western Reserve University, receiving the Dermatology Faculty Prize and Lepow Research Awards. After completing his internship, Dr. Ostrowski completed a combined dermatology residency and research fellowship at Case Western, twice receiving research fellowship awards from the Dermatology Foundation. He presented his work at the Society for Investigative Dermatology and Montagna Symposium conferences.

Dr. Ostrowski is a physician-scientist performing basic science and translational research in the area of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer biology. Dr. Ostrowski's research is focused on signaling pathways that influence survival of melanoma and Merkel cell cancer.

Dr. Ostrowski's clinical interest encompass adult and general dermatology, including inflammatory skin disease and skin cancer detection and treatment.
