Katya Perez, Project Manager
Katya Perez, BS, is the Project Manager of Equity and Community Health at Massachusetts General Hospital. Katya previously worked with The Posse Foundation as a Trainer. She recruited students from the greater Boston area to attend top colleges and universities around the country and supported their personal and professional development. Katya helped create and facilitate workshops for both students and college faculty and staff on topics including identity, cross-cultural communication and team-building. She also participated in projects dedicated to addressing inequity and racism in higher education.
Katya received her Bachelor of Science from Union College in 2018 with a double major in psychology and Spanish & Hispanic studies. Her academic endeavors included research of social identity and group dynamics with a focus on unconscious bias and prejudice. In 2018 she was awarded for the diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives she developed as an undergraduate student. As Project Manager, Katya will engage with subcommittees, team leads and hospital leadership across the Mass General Brigham network to coordinate and develop activities and trainings that advance the structural equity plan.
