Research Interests
Krishna Reddy, MD, MS, studies tobacco, HIV and tuberculosis, both individually and in combination. Along with colleagues in the Medical Practice Evaluation Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, he applies methods of simulation modeling, epidemiology and cost-effectiveness analysis to study clinical and economic outcomes in the U.S. and other countries. The goal of his research program is to provide evidence- and model-based approaches to clinical decision-making, trial design and public health policy.
Awards and Recognitions
Dr. Reddy is the principal investigator of research awards from the National Institutes of Health. His work has been reported by NBC News, Reuters and WBUR/National Public Radio. Dr. Reddy has been a consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO), and his work has been cited in clinical guidelines of the WHO and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
More information can be found on Dr. Reddy’s Harvard Catalyst Profile.
Current Projects
- Clinical and economic outcomes of smoking and smoking cessation among people with HIV in the U.S. and in South Africa
