Overview

The TeleNeurology Program provides our partners with regular quality and safety check-ins, including in-person site visits, onsite and virtual CME lectures.

During program check-ins, we jointly and collaboratively review:

  • Service utilization and enhancements – service timelines, patient retention, patient outcomes and others.
  • Tour the hospital and meet established and new staff, increase awareness, receive feedback, and answer questions about the program.

Highlights

  • 100% of our TeleStroke partners in Massachusetts sites are DPH Certified Stroke Centers
  • 50% of all our TeleStroke partners have obtained silver, silver plus, gold or gold plus certifications with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines Program
  • Most remaining hospitals in our network are certified as advanced primary stroke centers by Det Norske Verita (DNV)

Mass General TeleNeurology offers unrestricted access to all clinical staff at partner facilities to CME credit-worthy lecture series on stroke and neurology, hosted on the Harvard Medical School CME platform. The lectures were developed to empower emergency physicians, hospitalists, neurologists, intensivists, and nurses in the delivery of top-quality cerebrovascular and neurology care to their patients. The topics were chosen with the purpose of targeting the increasing disparity between demand and availability of neurologists. Additionally, Certified Stroke Centers can meet the educational requirements of their certification via this offering.
