In October of 2025, Mass General Brigham awarded $2 million through its Community Health Impact Funds to six organizations working to expand access to healthy, locally grown food in Boston, Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop. This investment supports a range of strategies designed to increase the availability of Massachusetts-grown produce and strengthen community food systems—priorities identified through the 2022–2023 Community Health Needs Assessment.

These six awardees represent one part of a larger $9 million investment in food and nutrition security across Greater Boston. For more on the overall investment and full list of funded organizations, read the Mass General Brigham press release.
