These green beans make a great side dish to any meal. This recipe is high in fiber, which helps maintain bowel health, helps control blood sugar and aids in achieving a healthy weight.


  • 2 lbs. fresh green beans
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped fine (or 2 tsp garlic powder)
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ tsp pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. On a baking sheet, place the green beans in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic, and parmesan. Toss beans to coat
  2. Roast in oven for 20-25 minutes, tossing them halfway through or until desired tenderness
