Heart Disease and HIV: Getting to the HEART of the Matter
People with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are living longer thanks to the introduction of antiretroviral therapy. However, research has found that those living with HIV are at an increased risk for heart disease even if they are well-treated on antiretroviral therapies. In this talk, we will provide a general overview of heart disease and how it relates to those living with HIV.
