Adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients with cancer face unique challenges and have specific needs. Historically, cancer care has been divided between pediatric and older adult patients. This creates additional challenges for AYAs as they navigate their cancer care while also balancing their mental health, financial wellbeing, educational and career development goals, fertility, and social connection. This Mass General for Children (MGfC) Family-Centered Care Series talk will address the unique needs of our AYA population as well as discuss the clinical and psychosocial frameworks and social opportunities being developed for our AYA patients.
