Dr. Leila Mankarious' research endeavors developed from her interest in airway abnormalities in the pediatric population. In particular, she studies cricoid cartilage growth and finding ways to prevent and treat subglottic stenosis. Recently, she began a study focused on the analysis of drainage after thyroglossal duct remnant surgery to improve current techniques that have a high patient morbidity rate.
