About Carlos Duran, MD

Dr. Duran completed his fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care and Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at Mass General Hospital (MGH). He is an Attending of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care and Director of Pediatric Transport. He serves on the Pediatric Code Committee. He is also Chief of Pediatrics at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Boston.  He chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Dr. Duran specializes in the critical care disease of children. With his background in pulmonary medicine, his research interests include non-invasive ventilation and status asthmaticus. His work at Shriners Hospitals for Children also provides expert knowledge in the management of pediatric burns.
