About Nina Gold, MD

Nina Gold, MD is a board-certified pediatrician with board-eligible status in medical genetics and medical biochemical genetics. She specializes in the care of children and adults with inborn errors of metabolism and other genetic conditions.

Dr. Gold attended Colby College, where she graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Psychology. She completed her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. During medical school, she cultivated an interest in the care of children with special needs and went on to pursue residency in pediatrics and medical genetics at Boston Children's Hospital. She then completed specialized fellowship training in medical biochemical genetics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Gold's clinical interests include inborn errors of metabolism, specifically fatty acid oxidation disorders, as well as other rare genetic conditions affecting both children and adults. She has an interest in medical education and works with medical trainees and colleagues to expand the use of genetic information and testing in clinical care. She is a member of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's review committee on Medical Genetics and Genomics.

Dr. Gold is the recipient of several awards, including the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award (Harvard Medical School), Shire/Genzyme ACMGF Next Generation Medical Biochemical Subspecialty Genetics Training Award (American College of Medical Genetics), and Peter Duncan Award for Outstanding Platform Presentation by a Trainee (David W. Smith Workshop).
