About Duraisamy Balaguru, MD

Duraisamy Balaguru is a pediatric physician in the Division of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology. He is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. His area of expertise is general cardiology, cardiac critical care, and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Balaguru graduated from Thanjavur Medical College in India. He trained in pediatrics and neonatology in both India and United Kingdom. Pediatric cardiology training started in Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK. In the US, the pediatrics and pediatric cardiology training included fellowships in NYU Medical center in New York, MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston, SC and Boston Children’s Hospital. He is trained in pediatric interventional cardiology. He is board-certified in both pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart diseases. He is a fellow in American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
