Lori Pugsley, RN, BSN, MEd, will assume the position of nurse director for inpatient pediatrics at MGfC in August 2017. Pugsley will succeed Brenda Miller, RN, who has served the role for the past six years. Pugsley, who has served as the nurse director for MGfC’s newborn and family units since 2005, was a key leader in obtaining the hospital’s Baby-Friendly certification in 2015. Her units have also achieved the highest scores in both staff and patient satisfaction. In her new role, Pugsley will work to ensure excellence in patient- and family-centered care and professional nursing practice.

“It is an honor to be chosen as the next nursing director for Ellison 17 and Ellison 18,” said Pugsley. “I am incredibly excited and I look forward to working with such an amazing group.”

Pugsley holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s in education from the University of Massachusetts.
