Eva Mintz-Bacon is a child life specialist working on the pediatric inpatient unit (Ellison 17) with children ages birth to eight years.

I can honestly say that I feel blessed to be a part of the child life team at MGfC. I am often asked the question, “Why do you do what you do?” and the answer is very simple. I do what I do for the remarkable patients and families that I come in to contact with every day. The strength, determination, courage, hope and resiliency that our patients embody is an inspiration to me and what drives me to continue my work in child life. Although we are a teaching profession, I feel that it has been the patients and families that I have met throughout my career who have taught me what it means to work with sensitivity, compassion and care.
